![]() Hi, I'm using Visual basic 2010 express and it seems to be a version that is not loaded with all the stuff i need. I keep looking at tutorials online and the navigation and options of classes references and plug ins are different than in my version. Does anyone know the full version for this program? I appreciate your help. The Express edition does not have some of the features of other editions of Visual Studio. Without knowing exactly what features you are looking for it is difficult to identify which version will be required. However, if you are talking about class references then that is more likely associated with how you are selecting the project type, and what references you are including, or perhaps the version of the Framework that you have installed. You should choose one particular problem that other people can repeat and describe it in detail, including a reference to the tutorial that you are using. Solving that will likely be enough to solve many of the others. Trying to download Visual Studio Express 2010 at the following website: I scroll down to the Visual Studio 2010 Express section (grey dropdown bars). Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010 Professional is an integrated solution for developing, debugging, and deploying all kinds of applications. It takes up several. Have you confirmed that the tutorials are for Visual Basic.Net and not for an earlier version of Visual Basic? I'm using a programming tutorial for AUTOCAD 2014 that is based with Visual Studio.NET. Is that different form the Visual Basic Express? VB Express Edition is a subset of Visual Studio.Net. That tutorial will probably be just fine with the Express edition, and the problem is likely that you have not correctly referenced the Autocad libraries required to implement the functions. You should post an exact example of one of the problems you are seeing, together with the details of the tutorial. If that can be resolved then probably a lot of others disappear, and then the remaining ones can be addressed. The AutoCad Tutorial in the below link says you can use Visual Studio Express. For 2010 Visual Studio for Visual Basic express version was called Visual Basic 2010 Express. You don't provide a link to the Tutorial you are using which of course makes it difficult to know much about the issues you may be having. Maybe the Tutorial is using a different year of Visual Studio Express or Visual Studio in the video Tutorial. So of course the Visual Studio IDE (GUI, whatever) would appear different, the controls and other things may be different than the Visual Basic Express 2010 IDE. That doesn't mean Visual Basic 2010 Express can not do what you need to do. Mostly it means you are probably unfamiliar with Visual Basic programming and therefore do not understand how to implement the desired capabilities shown in the tutorial on one version of Visual Studio with the version of Visual Studio you are using. So unless you can explain in more detail why you are having issues I will guess it is because you can't follow along due to differences in the Visual Studio used in the tutorial and the Visual Basic 2010 Express you are using with regard to limited knowledge on your part of using Visual Basic 2010 Express in the first place. Therefore unable to transfer what is going on in the video to what you need to be doing in Visual Studio. La vida loca.
